Having made it to the Radhanagar beach just on time for the sunset, I stepped on to the beach to look for my friends and as I turned to my right, my eyes caught sight of this amazing view. The beautiful white sand being kissed by the gentle waves, with the canopy of forest lining one side of the beach and the sun-kissed calm ocean on the other. The clouds above the ocean looked like they were on fire. It was a beautiful sight and it was not just me who was awestruck by the beauty of it all, as you can see in the picture, there were quite a few people who were admiring this stunning view too.
Out of all the possible places I could have been, doing a million other things, here I was, on a beautiful island beach awestruck by this beautiful sunset.
I feel we go on living most of our lives oblivious of how life/fate/destiny is silently working for us. We only tend to question ‘Why’ when things don’t work in our favor, but the same ‘why’ a couple of years down the line suddenly makes so much sense. We’re either trying to hold on to the past or reach out to the future, both of which are beyond us. Until, some incident makes us realize the importance of the Here & Now, to live in the present, where everything is happening, where life really is. We should learn to accept and trust the process, that life will take you exactly where you should and need to be. It doesn’t mean you sit idle and wait for life to happen, what it means is stop living in the past or in the future and to focus on the present and make the most of it, because quite frankly, that’s all you have, that’s all you’ll ever have. Live in the ‘today,’ to make your yesterdays worthwhile and to create a better tomorrow.
Sometimes it takes times like these to know you’re in the right place.
